Sharing irq's is a very easy thing, which has not been used
because of a poor hardware IBM design of the ISA bus. But
PCI permits sharing irq's, and Windows 98 and NT4 should
admit irq sharing.
On the system I send this, IRQ11 is shared by two PCI
graphic cards (one of them has the irq line open, but the
other certainly uses irq) and the USB port on the chipset;
this is shown on Control Panel. I can use at the time a PS/2
mouse (IRQ12) and a USB mouse (IRQ11), and of course the
graphic card using irq (IRQ11) works.
However, if it is just for printing, in W98 printing sw
doesn't use irq.
