Hi All,
I recently had my power supply die on me. My hard drive died when the
power supply did and I thought my motherboard did to. However, I've been
able to get the motherboard to boot using a bootable disk. I need advice
on whether or not it really is dead, or if there is a way to revive it.
The motherboard in question is a SiS DX-6900 Universal VESA Master 486
system board with 16 megs of ram in two simms.
I wouldn't bother with it, but I have hopes of building an email
system for my sister (who lives 1200 miles away. The rest of the
components for a 486 system I've got, but very little free cash to spend
on it after doing a major rebuild. If somebody has got a fix for me,
please respond. TIA
Yours,
Mike Yates (Chuckemm)
