Our cable company is planning to start using the new
Scientific Atlanta Digital Cable Converters. It is the model 2000.
The back of this has a USB, ethernet, and 9-pin serial along with
what looks like an Appletalk connector (for Macs?). Does anyone
have information on these boxes as a TRUE potential for cable
modeming on the internet?
I've talked to the "modem guys" and they're still using the regular
cable modem to ethernet card method for internet connections and
are still up in the air about using the converter boxes capabilities.

TIA....

Winston
