I hope networks are still on topic for this list.If not I apoligize.
Trying to get a simple network with 2 machines to work.Using SN2000
boards in each connected with BNC cable with terminators.
Using Client for Microsoft Networks and TCP/IP->NE2000 compatible.
File and print sharing are enabled on each machine. The IP adresses are
192.168.10.1 and 192.168.10.2 on the other machine. The subnet mask is
entered as 255.255.255.0 I have no gateway typed in.I didn't need one
before with this setup.
I have a lmhosts file in the windows directory of each machine.
One machine is a Pentium 100 running Windows95 version a and the other
machine is a AMD266 running Windows 95 version b.
This network worked before I swapped the motherboard and cpu in the
AMD machine.It was a Cyrix200 running Windows 95 version a.Could it be
the different versions of Windows95?
 Any help is greatly appreciated.
Mike Bridges
