Dave,

My recommendation would be to upgrade your m/b for approx.. $100 (latest
chipset, BIOS, etc........).

Your other choice would be to exchange the Promise ISA card for the Ultra33
PCI card.  This will see your 6.4G drive and it allows booting from it also.
Plus you can use the m/b IDE interface for your CD-ROM(S), LS-120, ZIP, etc.

Just my 2cents worth.
