The freeze up problem needs to be solved before you can install the video
drivers. At what point is it freezing up--during the boot screens, or when
Windows is about to load? Windows should be able to start up using its
onboard VGA standard video display so that you can install drivers. If it
won't load at all, you have a much bigger problem to worry about than
loading the video drivers. If you had Goback you'd be up and running in
about 3 minutes, but it's too late for that. What were you troubleshooting?
Whatever it was seems to have corrupted the OS. You may have to Fdisk and
reformat. Big question is at what point does it freeze up?

Mgr, Win98. Computer freezes in Startup before it gets to installing new
display driver. Cannot install driver in Safe Mode. How install driver?
