Hello,
I am helping a friend some distance from me so I do not have the ability to
look at the machine. He had three partitions on a 6gb drive and wanted to
revert back to a single partition. Also wiping all information from the
machine as it was his old business machine. I had him enter fdisk, from a
Win98 Boot disk, deleted all partitions, recreated a single 6GB partition
and made it active. He has formatted both with no /s and with /s. The
problem arises when booting with a Win98 boot disk, if he selects load with
CD-ROM support after a moment all he gets is a blinking cursor in the lower
left of the screen with no A or C prompt. He has tried 4 different boot
disks to no avail, same problem.

This is a PII 266 stock Dell with 128mb ram. Win98 1st.
Suggestions?
Thanks as always,
Brad Loomis
