Windows keeps track of where "the parts" of the OS
are, (and any installed programs).

Since Windows thinks "most everything" is installed on "E",
when you _move_ it over to "C" it will be lost, and most
programs will no longer work, If the computer boots at all.
(<grin>...)

If,on the other hand, you clone the old drive and put
the new one in at the same place ("E"), everything should
work as before. But that was not your question...  ;-(

Transfer of xp partition
I currently have XP on E: I'm going to get a bigger disk
& transfer XP to what will be C:  Friends tell me this can't
be done,though their explanations as to why seem rather
vague. can it be done? What problems will I encounter?
