The only significant improvement you can make for surfing the net is to
improve your download speed. For that you will need An ISP that provides DSL
or cable modem.

Of course you could get a T 1 line, but that would be very expensive.
That's an awful lot of RAM. Much of it is probably being wasted.

Will a new motherboard and processor give me a
major increase in speed especially when downloading and moving around on the
web?  Or am I asking to be disappointed again with no major difference in
speed?  The main reason I use my computer is for the internet.  I don't play
any games or anything like that.  I would appreciate your input.
