Yep. I really like XP. It's just a MUCH better kernel. It's stable. It knows
how to use RAM. If I go into a place in which the customer has hardware that
can comfortably run XP, I broach the subject with them -- especially if
they're complaining of stability.

My wife does this all the time, believe it or not.

At work she runs Win2k Pro and firmly believes that she should be able to
open and use everything that she needs at a give moment.

So, she'll open Outlook, several IE windows, Word documents exceeding dozens
of megabytes, Adobe Framemaker (and its helper apps like ATM Deluxe) and the
documents for it, and she will, at some point, hit the ceiling. It doesn't
happen everyday, but she does hit it.

I tell her that just because the lake has water doesn't mean you should
drink it all, but alas that logic doesn't work. ;-)

So, Steve -- what do you do if you run through your list and the system
STILL isn't making sense? ;-)

Cheers,

Mike Whalen
