No, Westly the DVD's shouldn't damage your monitor. I have a DVD Player in
my computer and the video is great!

I recommed Creatives DVD Encore Kit with the lates Dxr decoder card. Since
you have PIII the decoder card is optional, but would take a tremenus load
off the CPU. but the PIII should handle the software decompression of the
MPEG 2 video stream from the DVD.
