I am happy to report that I found something that I was able to use to write "ZEROS" to the entire drive.

Western Digital has a Windows Program for called DLDIAG which is part of their Data Lifeguard Package. It has several tests as well as abilitie to do full erase of drive by writing ZEROS to the entire disk. I was amazed at the lack of this type software over at the Maxtor Site.
