SOS!

Something happened to my HD after I rebooted my machine(P166, 4.3G Quantum
Fireball, W98), and now apparently it has been erased! Fdisk shows "No
partitions defined." I previously had downloaded a low-level format program
from Seagate for a bad 1G Conner drive(recommended by Seagate for this
drive) and ran it on this drive(set up as slave D). It ran for about 12
hours and finally gave up with a "too many errors" message. C drive was
still working fine and I shut down to remove the Seagate. When I rebooted
the C drive disappeared. I ran a recovery utility, Tiramisu32--alleged to
be better than Norton,on it but it couldn't recover the data. I have some
files I would like to salvage. Any help anyone? Thanks,

Edna Sloan
