On your Compaq you need to add a CD-ROM card, or you could get a EIDE card and
hook up both your hard drive and CD-ROM drive to it. An EIDE card also has a
place for a floppy drive, but I have friends with Compaqs and the floppy drive
won't work on it. Maybe they're doing something wrong.'

Hi all
A friend has an old Compaq 486 SX 25 running Win95. He would like to add a
2X CD Rom someone gave him. Now the problem is there is no IDE controller
to connect the cdrom to. The sound card does not have a connector on it and
I could not see one on the motherboard. Can anyone tell me how I can add
this CDROM and what I need to do so.
TIA
Andy
