Denise,

Assuming you are using Windows 95 or 98, I can't tell you what program this
file belongs to but it sounds like the program has been deleted manually or
the uninstall program did not do a good job. I recently fixed a computer
where every time the machine was booted the client had to go through 10 of
these messages before getting into Windows. The client had been downloading
programs from the internet installing them and just deleting them.. To
correct the problem, I wrote down all of the files names, and proceeded to
find entries for each file in either the registry, win.ini, or the
system.ini and removed the offending entries.

I would first check the win.ini and the system.ini for a reference to the
file, as these are the easiest. Got to "Start"=>"Run", in the run box type
'sysedit' (without the quotes) and click "OK". this opens the "System
Configuration Editor". Click on the Win.ini window to bring it to the front
and search through the file for a reference to the offending file. If you
find a line that references the file then you can type REM in front of the
line with a space between REM and the start of the line (i.e. REM
load=huanobby.vxd), click "File" from the menu and click on save. Repeat
the same procedure for the system.ini if no reference is found in the
win.ini, except if you find a line type a semi-colon at the front of the
line and save the file. If no entry is found here then you will have to
search the system registry.

To edit the registry you go to "Start"=>"Run", in the run box type 'regedit'
(without the quotes) and click "OK". This will open the "Registry Editor"
window. Click on "Edit" in the menu and select "Find". In the "Find what"
box, type the exact name of the file, in this case huanobby.vxd, and click
the "Find next" button. Depending of the speed of your system and the size
of the registry you may have to wait before anything is found. If Windows
finds the file in the registry it will display an open folder on the left
hand screen and highlight the file in the right hand screen. If you right
click on the file and select modify you may be able to determine the program
that the file came from from the "Edit String" window. Close the "Edit
String" window and if the file belongs to a program that you no longer need
or have deleted then you can delete the highlighted reference in the right
hand window. Continue searching through the rest of the registry. Once
completed close the "Registry Editor" and reboot the computer. Windows
should no longer ask for this file when booting.

As always when editing the registry make sure you have a good back up copy,
and if you are not familiar with restoring the registry make sure you
understand how to do this before you attempt any changes. The NOSPIN site
has a article on backing up and restoring the registry which you should read
if you haven't done it before. It is located at:
http://www.nospin.com/pc/pcs04-10.html.

Hope this helps.
