One method I use to clean the heads is a 50/50 mixture of simple green
and a syringe of some sort to force (gently of course) the solution
through the tubes to clear them.

One area I forgot to include was, you need to attach a piece of tubing
to the syringe which is the same size as the cartridge seat. Just using
the syringe without it will make a mess of things and you could possible
damage the seat. The object is to apply a gentle force to wet the dry
ink and push it out the jets.

CAUTION!

This method is tried and true but I assume no responsibility for anyone
who damages their printer. Knowing what to do and how to do it is most
important.

Sincerely,
