Celerons were made initially for Slot 1, and have now been introduced in
Socket 370 ("PPGA") form. Intel wants to move them away from Slot 1, but
adapters to mount a PPGA to a Slot 1 motherboard are selling briskly.

K7 will use Slot A -- physically the same as Slot 1, but wired differently.
There is marketplace interest in a DEC Alpha-to-Slot-A adapter, but no definate
plans in that direction have been announced.

[It is highly unlikely that Intel will ever make a CPU for Slot A.]
