This post has two questions.

1. The drivers for my DVD sometimes get messed up. When playing a DVD movie,
the sound has a vibrato and the movie goes into slow motion. Deleting and
re-installing the drivers does NOT fix it. Only by rolling back using system
restore can I repair this situation. Anyone else run into this? Is there any
fix other than system restore? Any idea what causes this?

2. Doing a system restore does fix this problem, but when I did the restore
yesterday, it took over two hours to perform the restore operation. It seems
to me that it did not take that long before, but it has been a long time
since I last had to do it (was lucky). Is this much time "normal" or is
there another problem in my system? I am running Windows XP SP2 - 2GB RAM,
2.4GHz dual core Pentium.

Thank you for any input.
