If you don't have an ERD and can't follow Don's instructions, don't
need to spend money. Go to ITToolbox Wiki.

Question: I have forgotten my Windows Password. How do I get in?

Answer: Assuming you have physical access to the machine (ie: you can
boot a floppy or cd-rom) then you can 'root' your machine and get
full access to it. There are six different methods that can be used
to achieve this.

Lots of free stuff just for the asking.... just Google keywords
"crack password Windows XP" and you will be amazed. It may take a
while... last time I had to do something like this was with an NT
workstation, with a "departing" smartaleck changing the password as a
good-bye gesture. It took several days, running constantly, but
eventually I got it... it was his last and first names spelled
backwards... how silly of me not to have tried it.

Luck!

Andrew

P.S. In our household nobody (3 users, 6 computers - spoiled
Americans, we) uses passwords to boot-up their systems. Just take
Don's advice and do without it.
