Just recently installed Redhat 6.0 on a pentium system where the LED that
indicated hard drive activity was working fine. Now I notice the light being
on all the time even though the hard drive is not being accessed. I think it
has something to do with the cdrom as I was playing around with loading from
the cdrom once and the light started to behave normally, until I reboted the
system.

Could anyone shed some light on this! It must have something to do with Linux
as the drive light worked fine under windows 98.

Thanks; Ken
