Not sure what either mean. I've built and overclocked my pc and have some questions. Heres the hardware.

      Mother board: Gigabyte GA965P S3
Processor : Intel core duo [log in to unmask] up to 3.2
      Ram : 4X1GB sticks of Patriot ddr2 667 or 5300 (I think)

I suppose the other stuff really isn't relavent to my questions. The ram is has it's timing to 5-5-5 15. Also I have the frequency up at 800 up from the stock 667. Now at start up on the bios screen it says the pc is clocked at 3.2 however when I run the CPU-Z program it says my processor is running at 2.4ghz and my multilplier is locked at 6 when in the BIOS it's set to 8.

         Here's my questions:

Obviously I wonder why the programs are saying my processor is running slower than what my bios is set at.

Also is there a way to manually set timings on ram and should I bother.

Also how do you update your bios.

Go figure I built the thing and it runs great I just like to tinker and want to know why.
