     Ouch, no easy answer to this one. To begin the first question is what
bandwidth do you require and what is you're budget? Can you run your own
cable or do you need to rely on existing infrastructure? Probably the
easiest route is the PSTN (telephone system). A single telephone line and
two modems and you're set. Unfortunately it is very slow. None of the
existing 10Base standards can reach 1km (10Base5 has a max of 500 meters).
If money is of little concern fibre would be a good choice, tons of
bandwidth. Hope this helped. TTYL
