I actually talked with another tech in my department about these today. He
about went through the roof with his warnings. Seems a friend of his bought
one of the originals, and is now on his sixth one. It seems they can't send
him one that will work more than a month. To boot, it took their tech
support two months to come to the conclusion that they had to replace his
first one.

I like the idea behind them, especially getting 2.2GB of storage space for
$30.00. But horror stories like this have a tendancy to make me a little
shy. Of course, I'm sure somebody has a horror story about the 2GB Jazz
drives too. My two cents.

Subject: [PCBUILD] opinions on 2.2GB ORB external parallel port drive

does anyone have an experience with /opinion of:

The ORB drive has a capacity of 2.2 GB, more than any other product in
its category. It's parallel interface (USB and SCSI
versions are also
available) make it incredibly easy to connect to any PC,
and it's small
                 size makes it totally portable.
