Hello everyone, I recently got an old IBM PS/2. It was working great
until I started trying to get into CMOS while booting by pressing
different key combinations. Unfortunately, I learned too late that this
should not be done without a reference disk!

Now I can't get the system to boot to the C: drive. I did get the
reference disk and ran the automatic configuration. I also ran the
diagnostics test which came with the diskette and got the following
message: "0 ESDI Fixed Disk(s)...Error Code = 01045840...ESDI Fixed Disk
Controller Error"

The system is a PS/2 Model 70 386, running in enhanced mode with Windows
3.1. Can anyone tell me what that error code means or what I can try
next to get this thing working again? Thanks alot!
