Hello all!

I have recently been testing MS Small Business Server 2003 (SBS) on my home
network. Mind you, I have not fully integrated the server onto the network
(still doing peer-to-peer out of fear of ruining everything) as a server - I
think...

This is my question: If the server (which would be the primary domain
controller) were to be yanked from the physical network, could one return
the rest of the network to peer-to-peer relatively easily (changing the
network settings back to workgroup type)? I ask this because, in my initial
setup of SBS, I partially setup an exchange server and inadvertently set up
my outgoing email server to the local domain. It took a bit of figuring to
realize that the SBS server was influencing the email workings of the rest
of the network (two other computers), even when the server was turned off.
The result was an inability to send email. That experience made me wonder
about the rest of the network.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks for your thoughts and words!

Best,

Will Stephenson
