Find Emachine mobo info here
http://emachine-upgraders.info/dir1/support/t_w_series_usa_motherboards.shtml

be aware that emachines "marries" the windows license to the motherboard.
so if you don't use the exact board you will have activation problems.

I just replaced a emachine mobo with Asus micro-atx board
I did a repair install with a oem copy of xp home
and used the product key on the machine.
it worked and activated just fine.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Motherboard replacement

I have an E-Machines T2682 tower and the motherboard is fried, which is
common for that model. My question is how to determine the proper
motherboard for this computer? I have never swapped boards before but have
installed hard drives, sound cards and reformatted computers in the past. Am
I getting in over my head?
