My entire system goes to "sleep" and the modem's comm port "wakes" it up
just fine.
There is no problem with "answering machine" software and APM settings.

Naturally, the software can't answer on the first ring, and it's "iffy" on
two rings,
but when set to answer on 3 rings, it works just fine.
