The only bad news about this method is when you
have to boot into safe mode with no mouse.
Ever try that?  It "needs" a better solution.
I always switched mice till I got one that works
everywhere.

Side note: Just because "any" mouse appears in a
"full boot" you might be surprised to find it
missing in safe mode...  (With out the above.)
Been there,  Go figure...
