Jose:

I have a Compaq 4712 which is a P166 with 24 MB RAM. 8 MB
is on the systems board and four 4MB SIMMs are in slots
1-2-3-4 for a total of 16MBs in the slots.

To install, I have two 16MB 60ns SIMMS.

If I understand you correctly I should remove two of
the 4MB SIMMs from slots 1&2 and install the two 16MB
SIMMS into slots 1&2.

Is that correct?

Thanking you in advance,

Michael
