The new 250 MB disks were enhanced (by what method I do not know) to work
with the new drive. Iomega made the new drive backwards-compatible so that
the 100 MB disks would not become obsolete (as fast). They do not in the
marketing that to experience the speed increase, you must be using a 250 MB
disk. My advice would be to get a SCSI version, as it is still the fastest
model of Zip (100 or 25) that Iomega makes.
