In relation to my two machines logging on and off so that my network rarely functions, here is the log kept by the SMC router/switchbox over this past week.  I did not log off any of these times, and since 6/11 the machines were left running 24X7 mostly unattended while I was at work. The entry that "0.0.0.0" logged off is something I have seen twice recently. No idea what that is.  The network ran perfectly from 6/11 until when I used it last on Friday night, 6/15. The machines were left running overnight but had logged off the network so that the network did not operate this morning.
