It might help if you do a little trial and error or isolation of problem. 
Try using your current HD to another working PC and check if you can install 
and run the OS. Did you experience any electric problem before? This is one 
primary cause of breaking off all hd's other than the normal depreciation 
(bad sectors) of your hd. Hope this helps.
