have you tryed a 98 boot dick to see if it was the drivers,but if you have
98 on floppy it will work. a buddy of mine has it on floppy and he says it
easy but i never used any thing but c/ds befor,try a used cd from a computer
parts store or a new one?had a simmaler prob with my kids old pc and it
drove me nuts i finnally bought a new cd and it worked out fine even though
the used one i saw it work but it would not work on my kids some time these
pc are like girls they need a lot of tlc and evey now and then something
sinny and new.

 i read today that if you format using format c: without the /s at the end
that it doesn't load your drivers I thought about just doing it again with
the /s on it but i wasn't sure if i could without the cd-rom could i load
win98se from the A: or no i'm going nuts
