This is an additional suggestion for the poster asking about a laptop.

There is a website that offers refurbished brand name computers that offers a one year warranty and all of the software is licensed on the computers.

I am not promoting the website for personal gain, I have never done business with them.  But they were recommended to me so I thought I might pass it along.

They have Dell and HP as well as other popular brands.
