I have run f disk quite a few times.however Ive seemed to have run into a problem.
I use Go Back, which I think is a great program .However when I ran f disk it wouldn't take this program out.I would run f disk and reformat , then reinstall windows from the recovery cd that came with my Hewlett Packard computer. After the install, Goback would still be there.I didnt think much about this , until I got a virus( cant rem the name ). I was told this virus attacked programs like Go Back.
So I did a F disk and reinstall from recovery cd.This time however when I went to boot computer, the go back would run, then screen would go blank and get a message that a dll file was missing and to reinstall operating system.
I tried a couple more times with f disk and install, but same problem.
I took computer to a computer shop and they fixed it
for 85 dollars, which is what they charge for a fdisk and install, which seemed a tad high to me.
They said I didnt clear the hard drive when I ran f disk. I have a hard time believing that.
Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

The computer is a hewlett packard 8745c, pent3, 800mz, windows me, 512 ram, new western d 80g hard d.
