Do you also have the mscdex line on autoexec.bat? For DOS mode, it takes two
drivers, the CDROM driver in config.sys, and mscdex in autoexec.bat (which is
what maps a drive letter).

However, to get native support in Win95, you shouldn't need the DOS mode
drivers. If it is standard IDE based CDROM, then Win95 should detect it. You
might try "Add New Hardware" and have it automatically detect new hardware or,
if that doesn't work, manually selecting a CDROM device.

If the CDROM is a proprietary interface (like connected to a sound card), then
you will need the Win95 drivers for it, see if you can find the manufacturers
web site.
