Jun Qian is right that you need to use the utility supplied by the
drive manufacturer to reinitialize the hard drive.  Many of the hard
drive manufacturers describe the utility program as a "low level
format utility," but they do this only because so many people today
use this term for it...  it is not a real low level format...  it is a
reinitialization of the drive.
