Hello Dave. This computer originally had Win 98se and no shut down problem. The problem started after I upgraded to Win 2000Pro. The install went fine and no apparent problems until I shut down. I tried several different settings in BIOS and Windows power managrment, to no avail. What is really odd, at least to me, is that I decided to put Win 98se back on the hard drive. I FDISK, FORMAT, insalled Win 98se, everything went fine but I still have the same shutdown situation. Diabled fast shutdown and installed patch but neither helped. I diabled the shut down audio, replaced power supply, video card and memory. All works well until I shut down. I even replaced the processor, AMD 500 to 300. This thing is buggin me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
