I downloaded the Windows 98/98SE boot disk from the
<http://freepctech.com/pc/001/002/shmtl> URL, put it into my laptop,
turned the power on, and got an error message saying that there was a
non-system diskette in the a:\drive.

It's a Toshiba 105CS that has Windows 98 on it but has been completing its
normal boot to Windows with a green line across the screen and a cursor
that's hung up. I've finally reached the point where I can only think of
re-formatting the hard drive and re-loading Windows 98 using the
CD-ROM. If I use the MS DOS V6.2 boot disk, that gives me an a:\drive but
doesn't recognize a c:\drive for me to re-format.

How can I resolve this and get it to recognize the Windows 98/98SE boot
disk (which is really a WIN98SE.exe file) so that I can re-format the hard
drive?

Thanks,

Lisa
