Yes, but get an "Invalid media type . . ."message.  Scandisk also will not
access the drive.  Norton says "cannot read from this disk."  A drivepro
program reported that the DBR was corrupt.  I have been able to "look" at
the drive data with a program called Tiramisu32 but cannot copy it without
paying a rather stiff registration fee(95$ for a weeks use or $190 unlimited
use.  Thanks

Have you tried FDISK /MBR?  The mbr switch will restore the Master  Boot
Record without changing/destroying the data area.

WARNING-- do not use /mbr for a compressed drive.
