 Are you running XP?  The same thing happened to me.  I purchased new floppy
drive and new cable. Computer recognizes floppy and all tests have been
positive, yet i am unable to use floppy drive, everything else works fine.
i am beginning to wonder if it is a windows problem?

I've been uable to use my floppy disk the last 2 days. Whenever I load a
diskette I get the message "A: not accessible. No ID address mark on floppy
disk" I've checked the IDE cable and it looks OK. Pse help someone
