I think it is a common mis-conception that all LBA(s) are created equal.
I have read that there are different "flavors" of LBA, and that a drive
set up with LBA on one computer may or may not work on another.
I have had problems with this.
Along the same lines, if you have a drive on a "BIOS HD card",
the second "port" of a software driven HD controller card,
or especially a printer port "drive box", it gets even more odd.
Hopefully the newer equipment may be settling into some REAL
standards.  Until then (if ever) keep things backed up when
making (major) hardware changes.  IMHO   Rick
