There are parallel port cards available with nothing else on them. Some
have one port and some have two. They are available in PCI or ISA
configurations. Why get a full I/O card which just adds complications.
Also you certainly can have four comm ports if you can set four correct
IRQs and memory addresses. This assumes that you have the extra available
IRQs.
