Here is one suggestion from your post. Have you tried to go through or 
to Skpye's Tools tab, then Options tab and then Audio Settings? On the 
Audio Settings page you can choose your web cams audio. For instance I 
have a dell monitor with a built in cam and mic. My settings on this 
page read  Monitor Web cam for my microphone and Windows Default Device 
for my speakers. I also let Skpye do all the adjustments.
