I wanted to print to an HP820CSE that was moved to another computer.
It was/is installed as a local printer on both machines.
All I had to do was add a port, (printers-properties-add port-network-path),
in the machine no longer directly connected to the printer, and it worked great.
Note: This is only a quicker variation of the answer below.
It would not "network install" on another "bare" machine through the network.

When we tried to install an HP855 on a Win95 network, (snip)
we installed the printer drivers from diskette on the remote computer as a local
printer. Thereafter, we installed the same printer on the remote computer as a
network printer and accepted the proposal that we retain the drivers found to be
installed.
Ouila'! This worked on each of the remaining stations on our net.
