There is a parallel to USB adapter available. I purchased one a few years ago to go from a HP LaserJet printer (parallel only) to USB on my computer. I would do an internet search. The computer still needs to support USB.

  Kay,
there is no cable or adapter for your problem, however many printers have both USB and parallel
connections but only supply a USB cable. It is up to the user to purchase the parallel cable.
If you are sure yours doesn't have the parallel socket, a PCI/USB card is the answer providing your
operating system supports USB, also some older computers will not support it.
  HTH,
  Hal Seabolt

    Subject: [PCBUILD] USB converter question

I have a USB printer that I would like to run with an older computer
that only has a parallel port.

I've looked around and see there are USB to Parallel cables, but they
all say, so you can use a parallel printer on a USB port. This is
probably a stupid question, but does it work the other way around, or is
    this not a possibility?

    TIA,K
