I do offer you my sincere thanks. I've downloaded the driver(s) and it seems to be working - at least a printed test page looks great,, but I've got a lot more to learn.
Many, many thanks,
Lewis Emerson

Hi Lewis,

All you should need are the drivers. If you don't have the disk that came
with the printer, get the latest from Dell..

Subject: [PCBUILD] Printer query

I have inherited a Dell All-in-One Printer, Model A920. I would like to
connect it to my wife's Acer Aspire 3000 laptop running Windows XP. Is it
necessary that I purchase anything from Dell or can I just connect it the
two together with the USB cable and expect it to work? i.e. will Windows
"recognize" the printer right off the bat or must I do something special?
