I have a Gateway Pentium 5-133 bought in March of 1997 with Windows 95. I
have a 2.5 Gig hard drive which is split between C and D but I think that
process was not really necessary.

When I got cable attached with Cox they did it arbitrarily. I know there is
some way to prove that at the date of my purchase all Windows 95 could
handle larger Gig drives without partitioning. Am I right?

I now am looking for a good but inexpensive additional hard drive with at
least 8.2 or such capacity. Matrox is available at CompUSA at about $180
with a $30. rebate coming back once the product is registered.

Is that a good buy? Can a duffer like me install it? I am new to this
mailing list and you all sound so INTELLIGENT. So much of what I read is
beyond my comprehension.

Anyway, this is my first time on board with a problem.

Who out there is interested in giving me ideas. Thanks in advance.
