I have installed a 3Com(US Robotics) ISA hardware modem in a Pentium 60
computer and it worked without a problem.  The ISA hardware modems are more
expensive then their PCI counterparts now.  You can find a non-winmodem 3Com
ISA 56k hardware modem at the following URL:
