Perhaps you have a malfunctioning keylogger (check with a couple good AVs,
but you probably know if this is a likely problem). I would look at
anything you installed or updated recently, especially if it runs some sort
of daemon. It could be a malfunctioning daemon. The only other thing that
comes to mind is some sort of driver issue. I would run checkdisk (if I
understand the issue correctly, you will have to use a recovery cd). Try
reinstalling drivers (I'd start with the chipset driver). Restart into safe
mode to see if you still have the issue (probably the first thing you
should try). These are some things to try, or to get your thoughts flowing.
